ProPure has considerable knowledge, experience and ability to design, develop and commercialize technology and systems for water treatment applications. ProPure has also field tested / installed many water treatment applications that are operational and accumulating field experience.

Pertinent water treatment applications:

  • Pre-conditioning & enhancement of flotation processes
  • Liquid extraction process for removal of dispersed & dissolved hydrocarbons from produced water (CTour)
  • Optimisation of chemicals for flocculation
  • Optimisation of de-oxygenation processes

ProPure is also developing a compact flotation system and working on new technology to meet requirements of zero discharge of harmful components to produced water.

ProPure has solutions that can be adapted to all separation systems as performance enhancement devices and the investment costs will be small relative to the potential benefit to the operator.

The proprietary CTour Process removes dispersed oil and dissolved hydrocarbon contaminants from produced water by means of produced condensate. It is considered the only cost effective process that removes both dispersed oil and highly toxic dissolved aromatic components for large volumes of produced water.

The CTour Process:

  • Can in principle be implemented on all production facilities where condensate is available
  • Can be implemented as a retrofit installation on existing production facilities or integrated in design of new installations
  • Can be utilized to increase productivity on existing production facilities, where water treatment capacity is the limiting factor for oil production

ProPure AS possess vital experience and tools for specification of  the CTour Process:

  • Core competence regarding the CTour Process, obtained through years of technical and scientific development
  • A proprietary CTour Process Simulation Model for prediction of the CTour effect under different operating conditions
  • Access to offshore test facilities for model verification

Specification of the CTour Process that forms the basis for modification projects , involves the following elements performed by ProPure AS:

  • Specification of customer requirement
  • Collection and quality securing of  relevant process data
  • Process simulation
  • Identification of critical process parameters
  • Development of test programme
  • Offshore testing for validation of model and critical parameters
  • Specification of full scale installation of the CTour Process
